The Sahar Discourse and Think Tank Center (SDCU) is an independent organization dedicated to fostering sustainable peace, structural dialogue, and impactful humanitarian action. Operating at the intersection of rigorous scholastic research and grassroots community engagement, SDCU strives to design evidence-based solutions for regional stability, conflict transformation, and critical crisis response.

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic, analytical, and deeply committed Research & Peacebuilding Program Coordinator. In this role, you will champion SDCU’s core pillars: Dialogue, Research, Peacebuilding, and Humanitarian Action. You will be responsible for managing peacebuilding projects, designing comprehensive policy frameworks, and facilitating high-level dialogues between civil society, academic, and policy stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Design, implement, and monitor SDCU’s peacebuilding and structural dialogue initiatives from inception to evaluation.
  • Policy Research: Lead the formulation of comprehensive research papers, policy briefs, and actionable field assessments on conflict dynamics and humanitarian needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate dialogue forums, roundtables, and workshops that bring diverse communities, researchers, and policymakers together.
  • Humanitarian Synergy: Coordinate closely with active humanitarian aid networks to ensure SDCU’s research directly informs and enhances localized relief operations.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Draft premium-quality progress reports, grant proposals, and strategic research publications for international donors and partners.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Master’s degree in International Relations, Peace & Conflict Studies, Political Science, Public Policy, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience within a think tank, NGO, or international development organization.
  • Analytical Skills: Proven track record of conducting qualitative and quantitative socio-political research.
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills (fluency in English and local languages is highly preferred).
